The key to any successful organization, and its most valuable asset, is its employees. EMCO has one of the lowest employee turnover rates in the industry, with many key employees having over twenty years of service. This experience is the cornerstone of the company’s acknowledged reliability, quality work, and expertise in its field.

EMCO takes great pride in our work, always striving to provide a finished product with outstanding workmanship, below budget, and ahead of schedule.

EMCO has always taken great pride in being a highly ethical company.  We treat all client, subcontractors and suppliers fairly and with respect.

EMCO has performed the vast majority of its work under the open competitive bid process, with 90% of that work done for its principal client, The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). EMCO has worked with many other owners, including individual landowners, commercial, industrial, universities, counties, cities, and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Most work has been done as a prime contractor, with a smaller percentage performed as a subcontractor.

EMCO has completed over 275 projects, and has built hundreds of bridges, forming and placing over a million square feet of bridge decks, constructed roads, concrete box culverts, drainage structures, retaining walls, concrete paving, concrete and rock riprap, as well as the associated grading work. EMCO has moved, restored and set dozens of antique historic steel truss bridges.

At EMCO safety comes first, and it comes from the top. It is implemented through a vigorous safety policy and program, and the results speak for themselves. Key elements of the program include drug and alcohol pre-employment and post accident testing, training, incentive based safety awards, weekly toolbox safety meetings, and monthly job site inspections performed by an independent safety consultant. Partnering with our workman’s compensation insurance carrier, as well as other sources, is another way we keep safety first.
